Debully are a small kennel based in the country
side of Northern Ireland three miles from the coast near Larne and
Belfast.
For many years I had an interest and love for
Bull Terriers. When I finally decided that it’s time to take the
step to acquire my first Bull Terrier I contacted The Bull Terrier
Club who then put me onto Paul Lemon (Hamanos) Paul advised me to
join the Ulster Bull terrier Club which I did in 1991. For 3 years I
researched and studied the breed as much as possible before I set
out to buy my first Bullie. Paul contacted his friends John and
Mandy Young (Bullyview) and after seeing a video of their puppies I
made my choice - “Lucy” Ch
Moonlight Shadow of Bullyview! Lucy was
an adorable white pup with two black ears.Thank
you to Paul Lemon, John and Mandy for making my dream come true.
My choice was indeed very good as Lucy gained her
champion title in as little as two weeks. Her first CC was awarded
by Jack Mildenhall at the City of Birmingham Championship show on 30
August 1996. This was also his last ever CC awarded. In his critique
Jack wrote “The only fault this bitch has, is that she doesn’t
belong to me”
After Lucy became champion, Debully went from
strength to strength in breeding and also in the showring. From Lucy’s second
and final litter we got our second champion –
Ch Debully Dancing Duchess.

Dancing Duchess went on to be the only
home bred champion for 2002. She was selected by the Bull Terrier
Club Committee to compete at the Trophy Show and she won the Ormandy
Jug for bitches for 2002. We are grateful to the judges Pam
Rawlings, Phyllis McCombie who honored her with this wonderful
award.
Today we are owned by two dogs and five bitches.
All our dogs and bitches are Debully bred – we don’t buy dogs in but
we do make use of the best proven stud dogs to enable us to breed
the best quality dogs for showing and as pets.
We strive for good temperament, health,
substance, well socialized and balanced Bullies.
We actively participate in dog showing and enjoy
our dogs in and around our home as pets as well.
